For Organizations
Protection for your community. Verified footage for you.
When your community records with Bystander, their video survives. You receive verified documentation ready for court or public accountability.
The documentation gap.
It doesn't survive.
Phones are taken. Footage is deleted. Body cam recordings may never surface. A 16-year-old U.S. citizen in Houston had his phone confiscated while recording, then tracked to an ecoATM where it had been exchanged for $250. When the record disappears, there is nothing to act on.
It can't be proven.
Even when footage exists, it carries no proof of authenticity. Convincing fakes can be generated in minutes. Verifying video is time consuming and expensive. In California, a judge dismissed a case after discovering deepfake video submitted as authentic. In public, "that could be fake" is now the default response. Without proof, video is just another claim.
How it works.
- 1DistributeShare a single link or QR code. Adds your organization as a trusted contact.
- 2ReceiveWhen users record and share, your organization receives footage automatically.
- 3VerifyEvery submission arrives with provenance metadata. No verification required.
- 4SearchFind relevant recordings across all submissions by date, location, or contributor.
- 5ExportDownload as standard MP4. Playable anywhere, verifiable by anyone.
Why now.
Targeting recorders.
A U.S. citizen in Hollywood was tackled and arrested for filming an ICE raid. A teenager in Houston had his phone confiscated while recording, then tracked to an ecoATM where it had been sold for $250.
Withholding records.
When ICE killed Renee Good and CBP killed Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, state investigators were physically blocked from both scenes. The FBI refused to share a single piece of evidence.
Fabricating stories.
DHS claimed one victim approached agents with a handgun. Video showed he was holding a phone. A federal judge reviewing DHS conduct found "widespread misrepresentations."
The need for independent, verified documentation that can't be seized or denied has never been more urgent.
Let's talk.
If you protect a community, or you need verified documentation to support action, we should have a conversation.
